Super Rare PALOMINO/British Tan R74 Cavalry Belt Bag Mint

This little darling is rare to find especially in such near mint condition. Dooney and Bourke made this style in 16 colours back in the early 90s. This colour is called PALOMINO which is a bit pastel in the family of mustard yellow. The subtle yellow ducky colour.

The Mini bag is the smallest (check the dimension below) in the Cavalry Collection. And this bag looks exceptionally awesome with so many boho chic styles. It's a very rugged, well-made leather pouch and the leathers used are so thick and firm. Plus, its colour scheme makes for year-round use (and makes it very collectible).

What I did : I cleaned it all over, inside out with professional leather cleansing cream, slightly polished all the edges with leather protection cream in the same colour and a smooth almond oil cream to keep it's shine. All solid brass hardware has been polished.

You will receive this bag with care, shape support padding and sealed in plastic bag, and it will be shipped in a sturdy box. This handbag will be shipped with tracking. Let me know if you would like it to be gift wrapped.

Conditions:

This Belt Bag is in what I consider to be pristine vintage condition. It has not seen much wear at all. Please inspect the photos carefully. It is a rarity to find one in such relatively unworn condition these days. Its AWL PALOMINO pebbled leather has such a tactile quality and is in great shape. Its British tan smooth leather is still bold and bright, having yet to develop a patina. All the stitch work is intact, tight and looking clean. No Oders detected. Zero verdigris found. No splits/breaks/cracks along any of the piping.

History :

Cavalry refers to soldiers on horseback. They usually carried a cartridge pouch on their belt. It is this item that the Dooney & Bourke Cavalry Body bag was modeled after. The Cavalry Collection was originally drawn from a diagram of an ammunition pouch discovered in the archives of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Its classic lines, brass closure, and embossed USA still carry an air of authority.

This is a vintage item which means it has been worn and loved previously. Now it made it to my store and I have revived it so it fits in the modern world again. Wearing vintage is not just a fashion statement, but also an attitude for a better future with less waste by humans. We inspect each piece we are selling carefully and any flaws are mentioned in the description above (with photos). Nevertheless, it can happen that a flaw escapes our eyes.
