You are looking at a near mint Dooney and Bourke Small Tack Shoulder bag in dark brown and Burnt Cedar. This bag is the earliest dooney products with the green label, ways earlier than either the D&B fob as well as the authentic serial number label era. Which explains why it does not come with any fob. It is extremely rare that this bag made it to today, over 50 years later with such incredible quality and condition.

This “Small Tack Bag” is a few inches larger than the beloved and highly collectible DB AWL “Marble Bag.” And just like the Marble Bag, this one has that authentic vibe to it, yet is so clean and so tailored looking, and has a nice dose of horse-person/equestrian appeal, too. It also has a very practical slip pocket in the back side with the duck patch.

What I did : I cleaned it all over, inside out with professional leather cleansing cream, slightly polished all the rough edges with leather protection cream in the same colour and a smooth almond oil cream to keep it's shine. All solid brass hardware has been polished.

Conditions:

This bag is in pristine condition, almost no sign of use.
The bottom side has a tiny scratch mark on the trim but insignificant.
The leather feels very firm and smooth.
All trimming/ piping are perfect, almost like NEW.

All the trim edge protective paint is still perfect, no crack or rip.
The interior is clean and neat, just aged.
The shoulder strap is neat and clean.

History :

The “Small Tack Bag” is part of the vintage DB AWL Over and Under Collection (referring to its front closure), which is very similar to the DB AWL Equestrian Collection. It has that incredibly well-crafted look about it that is classic vintage Dooney: handsomely rugged, perfectly stitched, and just the right amount of curve to give it a feminine touch.
