Extraordinarily Rare Loden Saddle Bag

These days we don't frequently see these beautifully designed and very solidly built Dooney and Bourke (DB) All-Weather Leather (AWL) Loden Saddle Bags from DB's beloved Outback Collection in such impressive vintage condition. Highly collectable while extremely practical, this Loden Saddle Bag was handcrafted of deep fir green AWL pebbled leather with satiny smooth British tan leather trim and strap. Its leathers are among the thickest of the vintage DB AWL handbags. Super rugged, incredibly thick AWL pebbled leather – again, so very impressive.

Handbags in the Outback Collection typically featured an eye-catching hand-braided closure. And the smooth British tan leather arrowhead design that covers both the top and the bottom of the braided closure, has such a beautiful patina on it that works so will because it gleams, too, which goes right along with its stellar signature leather duck emblem on its backside. LOTS of gleaming leather on this one!

What I did : I cleaned it all over, inside out with professional leather cleansing cream, slightly polished all the edges with leather protection cream in the same colour and a smooth almond oil cream to keep it's shine. All solid brass hardware has been polished.

You will receive this bag with care, shape support padding and sealed in plastic bag, and it will be shipped in a sturdy box. This handbag will be shipped with tracking.

Conditions: In excellent vintage condition with a few scratches here and there, but in general it is impressively NEW looking. All brass hardware are in great condition, the inside of the bag is clean and neat, no mark no stains. Oder free. Body strap in excellent condition with minor wear.

This is a vintage item which means it has been worn and loved previously. Now it made it to my store and I have revived it so it fits in the modern world again.
