Black /British Tan R54 Large Equestrian Crossbody

You are looking at this elegant while practical Vintage Dooney and Bourke classic Equestrian handbag style R54 the largest of its kind. This beauty is in true black.

She is in good (used) condition, with some sign of use. The bodice is firm and very smooth, the best quality leather from Dooney.

Spacious interior with zipper insert and cards insert, plus exterior convenient insert where the duck patch located. Modern design with classic look.

What I did : I cleaned it all over, inside out with professional leather cleansing cream, slightly polished all the rough edges with leather protection cream in the same colour and a smooth almond oil cream to keep it's shine. All solid brass hardware has been polished.

Conditions:

This bag is in good condition, some wear, some light scratches on the bottom of the purse. The interior has very little use. Oder free, just regular leather smell. The brass hardwares are gentle used, some patinas but well, it just makes it more classy!

History :

This style is called Equestrian Crossbody (Earthy mushroom and British tan trim), It used to retailed for $230USD in the mid-1990s. One of the very first handbag styles created by Dooney & Bourke. It is an R54 Large Equestrian Crossbody, USA-made, that was handcrafted in beautiful earthy mushroom AWL pebbled leather with British tan trim/strap.
